Is fun. Should be allowed. Batters have all the advantages anyways. Dhoni does this very well. Misdirection is not cheating. Makes the game eventful

I have been watching cricket since my childhood but was never aware that such a law exists. Now that I know about this law, I feel it doesn't make sense. What they are calling 'fake fielding' is actually smart fielding with good presence of mind and it should actually be appreciated instead of being looked down upon. We should at times get out of these rule books and be more practical and sensible about things.

You guys have been watching cricket for 6 years and you don't know anything about cricket. You guys didn't learn anything about this video. If you can't understand the rules of cricket then don't react it for views. Smh😑🤦♂️

Fake fielding is illegal in cricket because it is a deliberate attempt to deceive batters, which is against the rules of unfair play. It was introduced because players were faking actions like throws or dives to trick batters into making mistakes, potentially causing them to not score runs or even leading to a run-out. Under the law, if an umpire deems an action to be a deliberate deception, they will declare the ball dead and award the batting team five penalty runs.
