Also - years of drinking, smoking, caffeine, coke, vaping, being on your phone video games etc all blast your reward system with artificially elevated levels of dopamine, temporarily, and then they drop below where your baseline levels started. So years of doing that, which I've done as well, means your ability to feel anything resembling happiness or joy are greatly diminished.
