It's funny that Kat double crossed them because she didn't think they stood a chance against klaus and she ended up being right. Also she would know since she's been running from him for so long and he slaughtered her family.

KLAUS!!! Fun fact: The only reason Klaus' arrival and him being in Alaric's body at first is due to them having a hard time casting him. I don't know if they knew each other but Joseph Morgan was actually suggested by Paul Wesley (Stefan).
