I absolutely adored your reactions to this show! I am so glad you guys enjoyed it more than you thought you would. Leighton is my favorite so im sad to see Renee Rapp not be in the show anymore but i'm happy they will at least feature her in some episodes, I can't wait to see how the story ends for her

yes exactly! and i feel like it's clear that the other main girls are flawed too but damn, they really shone the spotlight unevenly on bela, but I'm glad that even though her storyline was fucked this season ppl can still acknowledge that she's a fun character

I think maybe that + a lot of insecurities about herself and various pressures. I also think part of it may be Bela being a proxy for Mindy Kaling, who is very self-deprecating and more likely to be honest and hard on "herself" through Bela. So you get lopsidedness in the ensemble cast with Bela being more flawed than the other girls.

i really think (and this is me REALLY trying to play devil's advocate with the writers) that the reason bela was such a mess in this season is bc of everything that happened to her in s1, and i really hope in s3 we see bela working through that
