I feel like Charlie’s mom ticks a lot of the boxes for an emotionally immature parent. She is reactive, strict/controlling, has a hard time communicating with both her children and tends to take things incredibly personally. You can tell she cares and wants to help but she just doesn’t seem to possess the tools to help them effectively.
