I want to request the show Nancy Drew, but I feel like no one has seen it or knows about it, or maybe everyone else hates it 😅 but I thought it was so fun and really good, I loved it! I also love Nancy Drew computer games so the show being dark and mysterious like some of the games was the best, kept me hooked all season. I doubt y’all would do a show that no one else has done reactions to, but it could be great 👀😂🙏

Y'know, I totally get this. I did feel like they got more depth and more positive qualities as the show went on but that is an area I'm really hoping to see more improvement with in s2. I'm also holding out eternal hope to someday get some representation of non-affluent Jews.

It might not ever win on a poll, but don’t lose hope. A few years ago, I was happily surprised when they announced they would be reacting to Normal People. It had landed on polls, but never won; they still decided to watch it. And while I’m not a fan of The Vampire Diaries, it’s another show that they surprised everyone with (it was never even on a poll because they had always requested 3-4 season show recs). And if a show ever ties (like Yellowjackets and The Summer I Turned Pretty), they just watch both. There are more examples, but you get the gist. And as someone already pointed out, the fact that Fellow Travelers keeps making it onto polls is a good sign because it means the guys are aware of and interested in it.

I get that. I did enjoy nobody wants this. Its definitely a good watch. But it just always feels like we’re watching so many things that are very similar in style or tone. Like I said TVD, Originals, Sex Lives, and never have I ever all happening at once just gets repetitive. Squid game is one out of how many I just mentioned.

Fwiw, they did also just cover squid games. I also feel like Nobody Wants This is different from all the other more soapy or young adult romance driven shows that have been being covered. There’s a maturity to the characters and more nuance in a lot of the discussions had in that show. It's also a quick watch so there will be opportunity for a genre switch pretty quickly even if it does win.

Jewish person here too 🙋🏻‍♀️ Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I loved Nobody Wants This and would assume/hope the guys would handle the immersion into a different cultural world in that show with the same openness they have in other shows. I've recommended this show a lot since it came out in part because I feel like it’s such a positive but nuanced representation of our faith and culture. I definitely get where you’re (probably) coming from, but I think the guys have a good history of being open minded and always trying to stay respectful.

haha well I know ppl like teen dramas that’s probably why they do them so much 😅 and I respect that but I know a big part of their early audience came bc of kdramas and the kdrama polls were definetly some of the most intense ones bc ppl were so passionate about their fav kdrama! sadly they completely stopped :/ I think they got some pretty mediocre recommendations for the last few ones they did and they got too bored and wanted to stop (I know it happened to me too when I started watching kdramas that’s why it’s important to give recommendations that would fit their taste and be easier to digest for mid-20s american men 😂). I wish they would get back to doing them even if it’s at a slower pace (like 2 ep a week)
