Something important to understand is that Glinda and Elphaba have very separate strengths. Elphaba has a natural ability with sorcery and Glinda has a large amount of social influence. Glinda would have lost her influence by going with Elphaba since people now view her as evil. They are both able to fight in different ways that involve them being apart and Glinda playing nice with the corrupt system. Even though the second part of this movie isn’t coming out for a while I would also recommend watching part 1 after seeing part 2 because you will have an increased understanding of the overall story and catch a lot of nuances that you really can’t without the whole story for context.

Saw this movie in theaters and LOVED it! This reaction is great & the "Popular" song is actually an Ariana song from 2014. Idk if it was a Wicked song first like on Broadway but she def had the chorus in her song
