@Mimi I am very self-aware. I prefaced my original comment by acknowledging that I would likely come across as a buzzkill to certain people, but my comment was hardly inappropriate given the context. Sure, not everyone becomes addicted to alcohol, but it can and does easily happen. And it's also a reality that almost anyone can get hit by a drunk driver. So, yes, it struck a chord with me when I saw the comment recommending/suggesting for people to "get drunk." I'm certainly not trying to crucify them (whichever one of the guys wrote it), I just don't see a need to enable such a bad habit. And I'm glad so many of you clearly don't know the pain of having lost someone you care about in that way or seeing them struggle with addiction. Let's hope you never do, because otherwise you'd likely readjust the lens with which you viewed my original comment and approach it with some empathy.

So… the comment does not resonate for you. That’s okay, no need for the trauma dumping to make your point across. It’s really unnecessary. Not everyone has addiction problems. Your bad experience does not equal the same for others.

Love y'all, @Reel-Time, and I know I'll come off as a buzzkill, but saying "get drunk" is in poor taste. I have family members who suffer from alcoholism, and a friend of mine from high school was killed by a drunk driver. Not to mention, alcohol causes cancer. So, it's really hard to see the appeal of drinking, much less getting wasted.

I like the way Marcel took the leadership role. He showed that strength means nothing when you can outsmart and charm people. The Originals are smart of course but one of my favorite things about Marcel is how he watches each Mikaelson and uses some of their own techniques.
