I honestly wouldn’t have minded if the series ended here, but the final season is so emotional and the actual final episode is even better than this one so I’m glad they got an extra season

This episode was actually written to be a potential series finale if season 5 wasn’t picked up. This was the last season to air alongside TVD and they weren’t sure the network would want to renew the show, so they wrote this bittersweet finale.

man that huge end montage scene took me right back to being 14 and watching this the day it released... cried then and cried now. so excited for s5! teenage hope is one of my most beloved characters of all time. i even got a tattoo of her name, just the word hope, had to keep it chill, only those who know actually know it's not just a little inspirational tattoo (getting a tattoo is a bit dramatic but it was more because she was the person who made 16 year old me realize i wasn't straight, than just loving her as a character lmfaoooo)

Such a great finale. I agree with you, Rob, the show could have just ended there with the way it was written. It definitely felt like the end of something. Really looking forward to season 5 with you guys though.
