Toronto.

Where do you live?

I ended up listening to it and enjoying it! Nice work. But now to decide what to do to take the next step towards trying out meditation. It’s a slow process, building up the momentum to do something like that. Anyway, thanks again for making this.

I started mindfulness self training about a year ago, and am currently toying with secular buddhism and/or stoicism. Basically an a la carte approach. Divorced. Two teenage kids. High stress job. Audits. Successfully defended lawsuits (the joys of medical practice today). I don’t drink more than socially and drug-free, and Christianity isn’t my thing. Too judgy. So meditation is my on-going attempt to teach my brain to relax and not go flight or flight when shit hits the fan.

I am going to talk to the people who can talk to the people to see if it can be changed.

Right there with you on the artwork - I'm pretty sceptical anyway, and that would be enough to put me off even reading the description far enough to find your name on it!

I started mediating with the help of an app a couple of months ago and I really like it. At this stage, I'm a terrible practitioner. I have a mind that, evidently, does not want to quit working (which, I think, has been the root cause of my anxieties over the past few years) but the guided meditations are really forgiving. I'm encouraged to continue with them.

Ah cool! Well, I think you can get a free month with a free audiobook (and a certain number of the Audible Originals come also as part of that package). Worth putting a calendar alert to remind you to assess how good it’s been and unsubscribe at the end of the month if it’s not something you want to invest money in. X

That sounds like it’s targeted for exactly where I’m at right now: increasingly curious about meditation, but totally turned off by anything a bit “woo”. This may be the thing that finally gets me to try out Audible.
