Everything you’re saying is intentional. They are eleven, so not the deepest characters ever; that is sort of the point. The goal with this story is realism. Also, novel-length pacing is a major facet of this fic, so the pacing won’t be slowing down all that much, I’m afraid. I completely understand this won’t be for everyone; it’s just a different style of writing.

I'm hoping that in year two Harry is more interesting than he currently is, I don't know why but right now he and some of the other characters seem kinda bland. The ideas in this book are interesting however and I do hope they stay relevant in year two. Overall I'm intrigued but kinda disappointed in some of the characters lack of interesting traits or interaction with others. My best advice is too slow the pacing of the plot a little or give a kinda day in life filler chapter to build more character interaction, which is what I think they are currently lacking. Your a talented writer and I look forward to seeing year two

Definitely enjoyed this although the premise isn’t one I usually enjoy. I think that so far your plot “makes sense” and seems well thought out and with good pacing, but not sure I will actually enjoy seeing Harry go dark. I guess it all depends on your definition of it and what it means for his relationships with other protagonists as well as what kind of person he eventually ends up being. With that said, a more competent, Slytherin and somewhat more powerful Harry is always welcome. And I can’t stand the kind of bashing that makes caricatures out of complicated but flawed people, and thankfully you seem determined to avoid that. All in all I will definitely keep reading since you’re one of the best HP fanfic writers active right now and the amount of content you produce - of high quality - is frankly mind blowing! So thank you for that!
