Tea is compulsory, but we have a very broad definition of what tea is, that includes many things ‘normal’ people would call “not tea”, “absolutely nothing like tea” and “are you just pretending to drink from an invisible cup?”

It is a mutual process, but you have built a one-to-many relationship. We do not know each other, but we all know your work. Once we have heard those conversations of yours - we know what to expect in a community and what will be unacceptable. Stay cool.
Very much this. It’s a gorgeous community. I’m torn between feeling smug and feeling lucky, because I can never know how much of a role I’ve played in gathering such good quality benevolent and thoughtful people into these salons, and more broadly the Patreon community.
This reply is a general shout-out to all the participants in your sessions. I can hear/see/tweet you (and the rest of the Bugle and Gargle gang) on many platforms. The rest of the participants in the room make me come back to it at almost every opportunity, even when I have to move other obligations. Thanks to all of them.
I’m happy for people to ask me questions because I have pretty strict lines around what I won’t discuss, so it feels… safe? I mean, sure there are rude and intrusive questions that come along sometimes, but they’re annoying rather than upsetting.
I am curious if some of the people you are meeting in person after more than two years in the UK have developed a dual (or more) persona - one for Zoom and one for real life? I listened back to your interview with Matt Hoss and you interviewing your dad. How picky are you now who can interview you? The wrong question - you allow all of us strangers to ask you questions anyway. Stay well and take care.
