Edinblog Day 11 & 12: Day Off, and Day NOT OFF. Plus postponing 2pm live Salon today til 2pm tomorrow. (And reasons)
🕑 Added 2022-08-16 05:40:11 +0000 UTCLast night after a relaxing day off, I got a message from my U.K. Agent saying Have I Got News For You is running auditions in London this week and would you be up for a day trip to london before your show tomorrow.
So after a night of MINIMAL SLEEP (it’s almost like babies can sense when you’re unsettled - this is a joke. Babies are the most finely tuned vibe-ometers known to humankind, and of course she was going to wiggle all night and pat my face with her fat little hands adorably and constantly.) And an alarm set for 5am (which guarantees you’ll wake up at 4am, as well as all the other times with the baby) I’m at the airport in Edinburgh with my confused but happy baby strapped to me, headed to London for a midday try out for a show I’ve spent 4 years trying to get onto. SHOWBIZ is a weird biz. I should be back in time to put the baby to sleep and also do my show chronos at the gilded balloon tonight.
I’ll let you know how it goes, if I am capable of forming and retaining memories with this fried sludge of a today brain.
PS. Today’s Live Salon in Edinburgh is cancelled, I’m so sorry, I will do one live and one filmed tomorrow!
