The great Tao flows everywhere. If you can name it, then it is not it. But the question is, why is there something and not nothing?

the story of eukaryotic cells and mitochondria. A cell billions of years ago eats a bacteria and this time for some reason decides not to digest it or kill it and from there an endosymbiotic relationship begins because of the mitochondria capacity of breathing oxygen, and the mitochondria maintains its own genome! mitochondria are the source of energy for the cell, very amazing. endosymbiotic theory, Lynn Margullis.

Stimulating stuff, guys! not sure if either of you have come across Søren Brier’s Cybersemiotics? (published in 2008) - it attempts to bridge Luhmann’s Systems Theory (as part of a broader ‘informational paradigm’) with Peirce’s semiotics (part of a ‘semiotic paradigm’) to address/describe the increasing complexity of our ‘information age’ (or perhaps, now, with the rise of algorithmically mediated communication, our ‘data age’)… maybe some juicy content there for you both

I am glad to see another addition to the series! I hope we'll see more systems theory episodes in the future as well.

Perfect, just started to get into this theory!
