That reminds me of all the people who will set up a "PARKING $20" sign in a random lot and start raking it in. Classic.
One of my best friends in college would crash weddings and special events that were held in the historic library on campus by dressing up in an all-black server outfit, filling a woven basket with cheap mints from the dollar store, and handing out paper towels to wedding attendees from the in-wall paper towel dispenser. She said she'd make $300-$400 in a single night, from collecting tips. No one hired her to do it; she just did it whenever she needed some extra money.
