- You might think "that glass of vodka at the end is actually just water" but in fact, the glass is full of extremely salty water. I didn't know that the gallon of distilled water that Bree keeps in the pantry is actually salt water that she uses for cleaning her pierced ear. I did one big gulp on cam, realized my error, took one more mouthful, paused for a second, then gagged over the sink for several minutes.
- I don't really like Brie but I can't argue with the fact that this tart is always totally eaten within minutes of putting it on the table. I think it's got all the parts of "baked brie" that people love, plus complex caramelized onions and minus the messy nature of a big gooey cheese bomb.
- This thumbnail is my attempt at not using a big annoying red arrow, but I might need to pass over to the dark side on this one.

I rewatched and I see it now. On first watch I didn't see it rise as much as it did, must be the camera angle.
I'm not from the US so I have no idea about cranberry sauce as a cultural ingredient, and I have plenty of ways to use leftover ingredients aside for puff pastry, but this is still a very interesting combination. Now I've used puff pastry a few times, but I don't get the part with scoring a frame into it. P.S. fennel seeds might work better here instead of star anise with all due respect to the latter.
