The RolePainter

wait, are these not presupported?

MrModulork

Those islands on the fur tips are just teeny-tiny pixels that'll get picked up by the next layer or two. Definitely do him feet down, not up. I've tried both orientations for furry bits and down is always better. Check out the images of my test prints if you want a bit more certainty

To be honest not sure what to think about that... With feet on the plate Lychee counts 147 islands, which I suppose is the count of all the hair on the fur pelts. If you turn them upside down you get islands about all the chain links instead.

MrModulork

Feet on the plate. Don’t overthink, the tiny little points won’t need supports and the rest is just a big contiguous volume. The main thing is to make sure the whole big shape is supported at the bottom, line the edges of the V shape with supports.

Ian Ronald Hart

Any suggestions on how to orient the parts for printing? The fur on the legs looks like a veritable archipelago of islands in the slicer.

MrModulork

You can actually do jazzhands by rotating them 180 in socket. This is coming from someone who tried ;p

harrysaker

Really nice model! Just needs jazzhands jk.
