Do you own a blender? You can make really nice sauces with chilies.

unfortunately i dont have a grill (no garden) and i don't really want to do it directly on a burner, but this sounds delicious!

I'd put them on a grill on a gentle heat, and put bell peppers right in the charcoal as well (can also wrap a bulb of garlic in tinfoil and put it there). After a few minutes you can peel the charred skin off the peppers and put them into a mixer along with the the rest, and perhaps a flavormaker (honey, soy sauce, kecap manis...). Best damn chili paste ever!
