You have to keep in mind this is the 3ball era. He is the best 20 yr old we have seen of this era. Over hyped isn’t the right word tho, I just think he is more popular because of it. Ayton or Tatum would not be nearly as popular putting up comparable numbers. Maybe it speaks to playing style and other things. Luka is very likable, but I think race plays a factor as well. Frankly it’s good there is a none black superstar.

Luka is getting hype but I think its appropriate. Mavs have #1 offense and Luka is undeniably the engine. I do sense a lot of reserve from blacks about anointing Luka. But Luka is clearly next and is on the trajectory of being the best player in the NBA soon.

If Harden came to the Warriors, I would continue to root for the warriors, but I would actively root against Harden's success. It's very simple for me, I disrespect Harden as a person and a player and that includes not just style but the how of how he tries to gain advantage (the performance art he utilizes on every play). I do not care if it would/could work.

Nah man, I disagree with the Luka hype thing, I started watching basketball in 2015 and Simmons, Tatum and Mitchell felt waaaaay more overhyped than Luka, even tho they weren't playing nearly as good. If anything, I feel like Luka doesn't get that much hype, precisely because of the "just because he's white" narrative, he's literally the best 20 years old ever, I'm not saying he would get more respect if he was black, but he definitely would if he was more physically dominant. Ayton would be in the goat conversation if he was putting his stat line and win record.
