It hurts my insides rewatching wiseman play defense. Like watching a 12 year old. His offense around the glass needs some better footwork, but that seems manageable, given the right coaching. I hope this new upgraded coaching staff has the goods to change and right this ship. If not I'm already making an early appointment next year for a ulcer operation.

I really hope we see some noticeable improvement out of the gates. Not that he needs to be immediately effective, but just some signs that he's on the right path

You’re absolutely right. He always played with a large-less-skilled 4/5 who did all the dirty work while he took smooth jumpers. I think deep down, all these young centers want to be KD or AD but they don’t have the coordination for it.

I think its a great fit.. young guys who want to play fast! Its up to him to again, except a role. Is he gonna go in there thinking he is closing games over Gordon?

I think he'd have to really stagnate and just now show any progression at all for them to give up on him. All the chatter from Joey pockets and Bob seems to about trying to compete and build for the future. Yes his is one of the most trade-able contracts on the roster but the questions always has to be asked for who and is that player even really available? Free agency seemed a pretty clear indication that quality players don't just fall into our laps the way they once did. You have to imagine if the team was that laser focused on pushing all the chips in now and win at all costs and a deal that involved Wiseman for a win now move was there then it would have been done. Hypothetically say going for either Christian Wood or Myles Turner.

I’m just waiting to see if he gets traded. I really want to see him develop under the warriors franchise but I’ll understand if they do have to put him in a package to get someone that can help Steph and Klay win now

sometimes i watch him play and i think that maybe he isnt a center yet. maybe he played small forward when he was a kid so the idea of being a shot blocker, the instincts that require weren't developed. i might be wrong, but i think he now knows from the tape what he needs to work on, that being mostly strength.

I saw a lot of Wiseman operating under a ‘rushed’ approach. Once the game slows down for him, I would expect to see a big improvement. Imagine if he comes back absolutely jacked - ha that would be legit.

A LaMarcus Aldridge type is an interesting comp. I would think Kuminga fills in a lot of gaps that Wiseman has as a shot blocker. Hopefully those two will grow well with each other.

Minutes and status are earned through the painted lines. Wiseman will play a lot this year. He will improve as a player and effectively help this team win games. Just wait til November.

Agree with everything here. We saw how pissed Wiseman got when he played badly.Coming straight out of high school with no practice isn't easy but most dub fans can't recognize that. Draymond kept feeding him in bad positions. There is concern that the coaching staff asked Wiseman to play less in the post but he didn't. Not sure what that is about. But we need him to space the floor and be a better version of Looney who looks very outdated, the guy's body seems to age very quickly. And run the floor in our high pace system.

Alc, you really showed us how much tape you are willing to go through. I can't believe how many Wiseman highlights you found. I want u to show a tape of every time he got blocked out by a guard or dropped a pass. But like all Warriors fans I want the guy to get better and at least he wants to score, as u say that's worth something right there but please don't sit out at the 3 pt line begging for a pass all season, anyone can shoot 28% from the 3 pt line these days. With poor D and no rebounds that isn't going to earn him any time on the floor this year.

Exactly my fear. I feel like Wiseman would be much better suited to play for a bottom feeder team where the expectations are low, allowing him to make mistakes without the fear of any severe consequences.

I fear that he may be out of the rotation at some point in this season due to how much he hurts the team. This team really isn’t a good environment/situation for Wiseman to develop.
