Not so much if its like being exhausted it only last hours, guess heavy use of magic does the same. One issue is if he can control it or does the drain happens automatically Anyway as long as the guests of honor don't use him its ok.

Ok so its an absorb magic effect, makes sense. Nice to sort out, but guess the guests of honor will be disappointed.
