[JttQ Bonus Ep] Rayne - Passing

It's the Raaaaaayne short, baby! Unlike the other two bonuses, I had absolutely no board or layout reuse in this one, which offered a genuinely fun challenge with time constraints.
It's true Rayne lived a relatively charmed life in comparison to the others, so we wanted to put emphasis on how long it's been and what that was like for her. Rayne is someone who cares a lot, but she's also sardonic and perhaps a little jaded. Her belief in her and Mara's relationship isn't born out of a naive hope, but rather a tested resistance to the inevitable and a willingness to stare it in the face again after such a long time of looking away.
It was really neat thinking of all the ways Rayne styled herself over the years and how her clothes evolved to the first episode we see her! I also had a lot of fun coming up with all the different adventurers she knew and said goodbye to over the years! It's a big wide wacky world full of lots of different kinds of people that Rayne carries in her heart.
This was also my first time ever animating a flower. Doesn't seem like that big a milestone until you have to draw the dang things. Luckily forget-me-nots are pretty easy to draw, minus the color gradients! Thank you, OLM blur plugin....
Even funner fact, all of these characters are named in my animation programs. Foster did not approve a single name so I can't say they're canon, but I'll tell you them here as a lil bonus, in order of appearance:
Curtis the Human, Arugala the Aaracokra, Luce the Tiefling, Mack the Tabaxi, and Armond the Human. I think he's a human. I gave him lil fangs so IDK man, maybe he's a dhampir. Do with that what you will. Use these names in deliciously angsty prequel fan fiction, I beseech you.
Anyway, I lied when I said we'd probably only do one more. NOW there's only one more left, currently being made as we speak. You get one guess who.

Imagine going through 20 different romantic relationships and everyone dies, then you're finally like "nope I'm done" just go go "why not" after LOL. This sounds antagonstic, but I'm just aromantic and ect. Good for you Rayne!
