Out Now! Mechanical Failures App v1.0
🕑 Added 2024-04-05 09:13:37 +0000 UTCAssetto Corsa has been missing out on Mechanical failures! Now, each driver (including you) has a 1 in 10 chance of a mechanical failure occurring at a random point in the race.
How engine failures look is based on the car, for example the VRC F1 2005 car produces large amounts of Fire & Smoke!
When an AI driver has a failure, they will pull over off to the side of the track to get out of the way of all other drivers.

Hi, the app won't work for rally stages because failures are set to happen on a random lap and time. Rally stages are simply A to B it will be incompatible.

How well do you think your mod can work with rally mods?

Just added v1.1 so they are applied correctly in Weekend race sessions too now. (There was a bug external to my code which has now been handled for.)

Oh that is strange, I’ll take a look first thing in the morning, thanks for the info! 🫡👍🏼

Thanks for the info. What happens in the weekend race is that when the quali ends and the race starts, the message "Race must be atleast 2 laps long for mechanical failures" appears in the log. But I have 10 laps assigned for the race

Hi, they should work in simple races and weekend races. You can check using the LUA Debug App as there should be some console entry’s saying which drivers will have mechanical failures 👍🏼

Hello Nuzzi, is it possible that mechanical failures are only reproduced in Simple Race? because I can't get mechanical failures to occur in the weekend races. Is it currently configured like this or am I doing something wrong? I have applied all your recommendations and I am on version 0.2.2 of the CSP.

Hi, yeah, I am looking into adding tyre failures and suspension failures too! The app will work on all cars. Thanks

Hey Nuzzi! Great job and another awesome addition to the game. 2 Questions - 1. Will we see a variety or failures added? 2. Does this work on all cars or only VRC?
Flavio Cardoso
Thanks a lot! Will test it with the VRC cars :)

impressive!, you are really an engine that does not fail
