Coach Beard is like an onion with soooo many layers to peel back. Love how Ted is outgoing and constantly upbeat and bumptious while Beard is a sardonic man of few words... but it's obvious that depite being polar opposites - It's clear the respect they have for each other. Beard followed him across the pond, afterall. It only gets better going forward.

This was the episode where I started to really like Roy, since Ted managed to light a real fire under his ass. His interaction with his niece is so adorable and despite all the swearing he is really good with her. Simply because he is caring, lovable (in his own way), has a big heart under his gruffy demeanor and is just himself around her, doesn't pretend to be someone else. No wonder she loves him...😊 It is very hard to find good actors that are also good athletes and vice versa, so you will cringe every now and then at the football scenes, but even with enough people who are good at both things it is hard to"simulate" football scenes believably. Too many people and variables are involved, so it would require a huge amount of training and rehearsing to do so...🤔 I loved how Ted managed to gain the respect of Trent Crimm by simply being Ted. His article is actually pretty high praise, coming from someone used to look down on the mundane world from his sophisticated-newspaper-ivory-tower. I had the same thought as you, Trent is starting to grow on me...😊 Can't wait for your next reaction, the 4th episode cranks everything up a notch or two...😉
