I think the Dossier dupe of Santal 33 (Woody Sandalwood?) is pretty spot on, considering I assumed my friend was wearing the original. I own the Jo Malone Wood Sea Salt and Sage dupe (Woody Sage—again, creative naming) and it’s pretty good considering the Jo doesn’t last very long and almost needs to be layered.

Decants are the answer. I'm poor and would never buy full bottles, but, honestly, ever since I've discovered decants I wouldn't even want to. I get to try out as many perfumes as I want and if I like some, I might get a 10 mL decant that will last long enough. With a bit of a collection, I wouldn't finish bottles anyway.

Same here. I love listening to it and learning about it but the cost and my being prone to headaches holds me back. I am looking at some of the sample sites mentioned, though, because there are some I'd like to check out and maybe invest in a full size of something special down the line.

Our library has it as well! My daughter did it a couple times when she was learning to read. It really eases the stress since it's just the kids and the dogs, no adult interference.

The library system I used to work for had the Children Reading to Dogs program. It was very sweet, and I guess Reading to a dog instead of a human is less stressful for kids who aren't confident readers. :)

I love you guys so much but that's my qualm with fragrance corner! It's a very expensive interest. Love the idea of dupe corner, but I simply can't afford more than a bottle or two annually. Also not being able to smell the subject matter is frustrating. I think it's more fun for you to sniff and chat than it is for me as a listener? Idk but I love dupe corner!

Rich if you are ever in Chicago visit Merz Apothecary. Plethora of niche fragrances and they have no problem pulling out allll the bottles for you to try.
