I don't think Jacob is going to get hammered. I think he just came down to grab a drink to take back to his room. He might grab a beer or might not. I'm wondering if on the way back to his room, he passes by that door again only to find Clara or Geoff stepping out. Also, I'd like to think that Geoff is the only guy she's not taciturn with during sex. Not that she just goes wild like in Jacob's fantasy, but at least a little more into it.
