Winter Blossoms
Apologies for the delay on the next pages! They’re still coming! Over the last couple weeks I had been making attempts to get the pages laid out, but it wasn’t coming together. In order to still give you the content you were expecting, I had to redirect my energy which is why you have the first two pages of Good Boy Time. I’m still trying to clear out the bees in my brain, and I am feeling confident that I will be able to continue in the first week of January. Thank you for your patience!
Main Comic
As for the next main comic page, I must admit I’m not entirely certain that I will make it in time for December’s predicted quota. With only four days left of the month, it might be too tight and roll over to the beginning of January. However, you are guaranteed to see at least one commission and Mark’s pinup, which are already queued and ready to go!
Personal Note
Originally, my intent was to take the 24th-26th off. That, uh, didn’t happen. Apologies for the inconsistencies. I found myself impulsively working or doing something to feel “productive” and escape the constant uneasiness I’ve been feeling these days. In my mind, I’ve been like “if I can finish X project, I won’t feel so anxious! Perhaps I cannot relax because I haven’t worked on Y project some more” etc. which… kind of ended up leaving me even more mentally tired. Although I celebrate completed content, I have to acknowledge that I may not be coping in the most effective ways. I was supposed to take those days off, and instead I worked on the comic and commissions.
I don’t mean to get emotional on a platform that I try to keep clean and professional, but the fact is, I’m completely burnt out, man. The uncertainty and difficulty to do even the simplest task have become quite a challenge. Things are so bad in my area. To give you an idea, I waited an hour for a reserved grocery pickup til finally an apologetic grocery worker came out and admitted to me that they just don’t have my things and to try again tomorrow. Urgent Cares have lines wrapping around the parking lot with people squatted down and ill on the sidewalk. People around me have been getting sick and they’re so scared and I try and comfort them but I’m scared too. I’m so tired. And I am so sorry that we are all going through this.
Thank you to those of you that are essential workers trying your best to keep things from collapsing. You are so strong and I am trying my best to give you the space you deserve and not spread any illness myself. Things are going to get better. It’s just taking a long time. We are going to make it through, and I will keep trying to be strong with you.
As for revised time off… I’m also uncertain because I am prepping January’s Patreon changes. You’ll be seeing some housecleaning and added perks on some tiers! In between preparing for that though, I will try to take some time to myself.

I understand how you feel, man. It often happens to me too, when I have too much on my plate and try to balance things out. Try not to work too hard. You could try doing something that can help you relax. Maybe playing a video game or something like that. Things are going bad where I live as well. Much of the citizens are suffering because half of them are not following the safety guidelines which is ridiculous. But the good thing is that you’re playing safe out of harm’s way, just like the rest of us. I appreciate all the hard work to do and I hope you had a nice but safe Christmas. And I’m looking forward to things getting better in the new year. Take care, man. I believe in you. :)

This is a crazy, very difficult, hard time to be living through. We’re all doing our best to get through it, even though we’re kinda all figuring it out as we go along. We all understand at least some of what you’re going through, so take whatever time or means you need to care for yourself. Your work is outstanding and I certainly am content waiting for whenever you release more.

I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with everything you’ve been. This pandemic sucks for so many people and combining that with working so hard on your projects, it was only a matter of time until you were facing burnout. I know it’s very difficult for you to try and take time for yourself but I know I’m not alone when I say please take care of you first. We can wait for content, especially if it means it’ll help you get back into something close to normal and healthy. These times are very uncertain for everyone and the last thing we want is for you to push yourself until you break to get a new page. I hope that things get easier for everyone in this coming year and we can all collectively breathe a sigh of relief, but until then self care is so very important and something you can’t take for granted. Thank you for everything you’ve done to make your Patreon a consistent art factory but I really really want you to take care of yourself, we’ll happily take that time to let you heal.

Take that time off to trick your brain into thinking a leisure activity is a project so you can ease into it better. But admittedly everything go on globally is extremely anxiety inducing and we all just gotta keep our heads up and help others whenever we get the chance 🤗
