This scene would probably be sadder if we didn't already know how much that ended up not true, but at least it provides some context for Andy to have pretty much written off Coop til he opened the doors again on NYE in Vol 2.

I'd say it's character growth X"D Very emotional character growth, but definitely character growth. I suppose it is love in a way but I don't know if this exactly prescribes them being together. It helps us see that they've come a long way since Winter Blossoms... But yeah! We gonna see what happens :D

I think it's important to remember that this took place while they were still in college and really shows us how they were versus now with a few years of growth behind them. There's a lot of improvement they have both achieved since then

Even before reading WB I had always speculated that NYE wasn't the first time they've kissed. Simply because the way that Andy kissed Coop back that night. Andy's expression and aggressiveness gave the impression that the event was something that he craved that had not happened in so long. I just LOVE the way you were able to convey that. The way you portray actions, body language, and expressions is just so realistic and detailed. It really exceeds the boundaries and limits of a 2D comic. ππΎππΎππΎ
And sure it was an insightful page. In the end, and not excusing a shitty behavior for his part in many instances, the problem of Coop is (was?) more a lack of self-acceptance and confidence than not liking Dee in a romantic way.
