Here’s a little thing I put on Twitter a while back and forgot to share here :3 Hello and welcome to September! Let’s start with the goals and get on with the updates:

🍓 The Q&A Dilemma 🍓
Going back to work is forcing me to regroup as far as my work-art balance. My luxury of full-time art time is gone, and I have to get more realistic again. I’d love to bring the Q&A back soon, but they take a surprising amount of time time to work on since I basically do linework for them (I usually also go through a couple rounds of concept sketches as I try and come up with the answers). My question to you guys is this; is it better for me to simplify the answers drawn for the Q&A, or would another perk be better to replace it with? I might be able to swing it if I forced myself to tone it down to just a sketch layer and not be such a perfectionist. If not that, then perhaps posts from my personal sketchbook or more concept art for future stories might suffice? I wanna do whatever is going to make you happy, so let me know what you think!
🍓 More Education 🍓
Aside from sticking around at my day job due to health insurance, my company also offers various free education. Not too long ago, I completed a certificate in Appliance Repair so I could be better versed in home maintenance! Now I have signed up for a new program where I can take a few courses in Small Business. I like learning and becoming a more rounded individual, so I’m excited to try something new and potentially beneficial to me as a freelance artist. A part of me is like “*groan* why would you sign up for this? You already have such a full schedule!” but at least it’s a pretty short program so it shouldn’t knock me too sideways!

Unfortunately, I will not going to BLFC like I originally planned. I applied for MFF just in case, but realistically I am betting that my next con will be FC 2022.

My birthday is on Sept 8th! I’d love to be able to take either the first or second weekend off of the month. I’ll try to work around it so it goes relatively unnoticed on your guy’s end.

Take all the time you need. As someone who tried getting into being an artist open for commissions at a really tough time in life, I really get it. Cant say I EXPERIENCED any of the above (to the full extent) but I kinda know what it's like. Still its not like you'd loose my meager patreon contributions anytime soon...

100% sympathise. Work 40hrs a week here and work on a 2x /week color web comic. Not nearly the quality as yours but still takes time. Take breaks as you need them. Your work has been worth the wait.

Like everyone has said so far, take care of yourself first and foremost! You work very very hard and share your hard work with us every chance you get, we can absolutely give you some down time to recuperate and breathe! As far as Q&A goes, I really love seeing the ones you choose and getting to know these silly, fun characters better so I’d love to see them continue but a simple sketch would be totally fine by me! Also I’d say take all the time you want and need to properly celebrate your birthday! Wether that’s a self care day(s) or seeing some special people and sharing it with them! You deserve it💜

I’m personally fine with simpler sketches rather than more time intensive drawings. You definitely deserve to take time off! Missing a couple of pieces so you have time for your birthday (or whatever you need, like the educational work!) is also no issue from my perspective. Do what you need to stay happy and healthy. I’ll take whatever fits into that 💖 (and I suspect many others feel the same way).

YAY! We made it through August X"D Congratulations on passing the Appliance Repair Course :D! And all the best on this new one! As for Q&A vs. Sketches ... Showing concept art and some personal sketches would be my preferred option! That way you can have more time to focus on Comic Pages, Main and Side, Pin Ups, and Comms AND we still can have something for Geek Tier! I wanna see more WEREWOLVES I LOVE Q&A, but sharing material you already have saves you time, AND when you do feel you up to it, Q&A can be a lil' treat for everyone :3 Thank you for the Update Jack, and I hope you have an AWESOME day ^3^ ~ <3

at the contrary, you deserve your rest and your free, i cannot speak for everyone but you are one of the most active and consistant artist i have seen on patreon and when it comes to comics, especialy these days where so much artist leave projects unfinished.
