This part is about the often untold story of the republic after Atatürk, from 1939 to 2000. Of how a nation struggled with capitalism, communism, military dictatorship, nationalism, religion and the question over where it's place in the world is.

Well done kraut, your video was well worth the wait. Brilliantly put together and well made.
No worries! I thought it would be pretty cool if you put the audio of some of the older videos on Spotify so we can listen to them on the go, but this is a purely self-serving and random idea. I enjoy your work a lot as is. Be well!

I don't know how to do podcasts though

Kraut! It would be awesome if you could put some of the videos up as podcast :)

I personally think it's still more complicated. He is an asshat, but then he is also a product of what came before him and of powers that shape his country. And the weakness of some of the people that should have carried that legacy.
It's Indeed sad watching all that Atatürk did go down in flames cause of one power hungry asshat.
Happy Birthday! Have a good one

Unfortunately for turkey, the oil money wahhabism and fanatic rhetoric caught up with it with erdogan and the new islamists. Hope he hasn't irreversibly destroyed turkey
I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present! <3
