Jack has specifically said in previous posts though that he had work things going on and between that, living his life, and doing the comics he has to make sure he paces himself. Which I imagine he's still doing.

This isn't just not wanting to burn yourself out, this is giving us hints, teasing, and cliff hangers, but then leaving us hanging for so long the audience starts to burn out.

Well there is a difference between position preference and personality. Andy definitely took the lead last time, even if the timing was awful. Emery taught Andy the position doesn't have to be any kind of identity so I could see him helping Cooper explore different things.
