nope, just wanted to take things one step at a time (tracking, then introducing objects etc)

Thanks! It was everything I hoped it would be. I'm trying some camera+object tracking myself. Is there and advantage on creating the tracks on the camera collection and then copying them to the object's instead of doing it directly on the object's collection?
