the art direction and OST are so damn good in these first two episodes. that shot in ep 1 with Yuji sitting on the staircase, with the blood red stained glass window, while this super washed-out, atmospheric piano plays in the back... the vibes are just impeccable.

The opening doesn't have any super blatant spoilers in my opinion other that just showing characters that will appear (technically they've already shown a couple of them). There is symbolism but only stuff you would get in retrospect.
