“Okay, think back, Gunther, did you crack open any cursed chests?”
Gunther rubbed the back of her neck and scrunched her face with thought. Being out of her stuffy armor was a relief for a number of reasons, two of which hung heavily on her chest under a chainmail tunic.
“One of the chests DID throw a pie in my face, but my helmet was on, so I don’t think that was it…?” she said, brushing a lock of blonde, back length hair out of her face.
Percy, her best friend and adventuring companion, sighed and rubbed his temples.
“Okaaay, did you set off any booby traps…?”
They both looked down at her chest.
“Er, sorry, pun unintended,” Percy added, looking away with a blush.
Gunther’s heart gave a little flutter. He’d never looked at her in THAT way before…
“There WAS that wall of poison darts we ran through, but I don’t remember any of them actually pricking me… plus, that shit’s gotta be expired, right?” Gunther said, looking herself over for needles, but only noticing just how wide her new hips were, spreading out her bulky metal faulds and tasses in an unmistakably feminine way.
Percy ran his fingers through his dark brown hair and tapped his foot. “Yeah, fair. What about that weird glowy eyeballs room…?”
Gunther remembered the strange chamber near the end of the dungeon. How its stony, magical eyes scanned over her body, as if appraising her, looking for something deep within.
“A nice light show, but I was more concerned about avoiding the giant fucking boulder after…”
Percy shivered in his armor, remembering the giant stone boulder that almost crushed the two adventurers on their way out. “The boulder was a bit much, yeah.”
Gunther’s chest swelled with pride as she remembered making that split-second decision to drink her “secret weapon” and used the resulting burst of energy to fling the two of them out of the way just in time. “Yeah, we’re really lucky I drank that magic potion I got from that guy in black armor this morning, or we’d have been toast!”
“Yeah you- WAIT, YOU GOT WHAT FROM WHAT?!” Percy did a double take.
Gunther’s cheeks burned red. Oh, right. I forgot to tell him about that. For, uh, reasons…
“Uh, y-yeah, I went to the market this morning to buy extra dungeon supplies, like usual, and uh, there was this one merchant in a cloak and black armor… he was also glowing like, pink, too…”
Percy waited for Gunther to continue. She swallowed.
“And, um… he gave me this potion for free. Said it would ‘Make me my best self’ or something…”
Percy pinched his eyebrows. “Dude, you can’t just take potions from random strangers. It could have been poisonous! What were you thinking!?”
Gunther looked down at her reflection in her helmet, avoiding Percy’s gaze like a scalded dog. Her face felt hotter now, and tears prickled in her eyes. She’d never been an overly emotional person, she didn't know why Percy’s disappointment was affecting her so much right now. “I’m… I’m sorry, Perce, I wasn’t thinking… I should have just let you use your Appraisal skill on it first, I just…”
I just didn’t want you to find out, if it was what I’d secretly HOPED it was…
Percy put a hand on her shoulder. She was at least two whole heads shorter than him now. Her eyes dried, but her cheeks stayed warm, and her heart beat just a pace faster in her chest.
“Hey, sorry, it’s okay Gunth, I just… don’t want anything to happen to you, okay…?”
Gunther suddenly felt all warm and fuzzy inside. Percy returned to his problem solving, pacing back and forth in front of the dungeon entrance.
“Well, that potion IS sus, but we can’t be sure since you lost the bottle in that scrape. And if it wasn’t the dungeon that did it, I don’t know how we can fix this…”
Gunther felt… relieved, for some reason. Her shoulders relaxed. Unfortunately, her chainmail shirt’s hold on her right breast and her pants grip on her hips ALSO relaxed, exposing half her chest and all of her sex to the cool mid-day air. It was once again Percy’s turn to blush as he avoided gawking at his oblivious companion.
“Ah, DARN, oh well! I guess I’ll have to stay home for a bit, then.” Gunther shrugged, right tit bouncing ever so slightly at the motion.
Percy turned to look quizzically at her, only to catch a glance of skin and turn away again.
Percy resumed his problem solving. “I mean, you’re not injured or anything, you’re just a woman? With some better fitting gear and training you can still-”
“BUT DON’T WORRY!” Gunther cut him off, a tad more desperately than she’d intended, “I can still pull my weight in OTHER WAYS! I could stay at the house and cook for you, clean for you, and do… other things… for you…” She bit her lip and dug a hole in the dirt with her boot.
The thought of it, being Percy’s housewife, cooking dinner for him, letting him rest his weary head in her lap. No more dungeons, no more monsters, just the safety of caring for a nice, warm house, and sharing a bed with her best friend every night… There was a warm, squirming feeling somewhere below her stomach just thinking about it.
Percy was quiet. Too quiet. Now he was looking her square in the eyes with worry. She grew flush again and refused to meet his gaze.
“Eventually, we could… settle down… start a farm… maybe even start a fam-”
“Stop. Just… just stop.” Percy said, putting a single hand up. An ice-cold waterfall of dread ran down the back of her neck.
“Uhh, I mean, I was j-just joking, dude! I just thought it’d be funny h-how… ridiculous that would be, you know… me, and… you… like that…” It was getting harder for Gunther to swallow. The tears were coming back again. Holy shit… why the FUCK did I SAY that! You just ruined EVERYTHING, you stupid MORON, he’s your ONLY FRIEND and now he knows just how much of a sick FREAK you ar-
Suddenly, her free hand was in his.
…wait, her hand was in HIS?!
“...y’know I’ve always liked you, right? You don’t have to do this whole elaborate scheme to win my heart…” Percy said with a chuckle.
The world froze around Gunther. She could barely understand what was happening.
Wait… did Percy say he likes me…? Like… LIKES me, likes me…?
Bewildered, Gunther asked the obvious. “Why… why didn’t you ever say anything…?”
Percy shrugged. “Same reason you didn’t, I guess? I didn’t wanna risk ruining our friendship, or something stupid like that. And I was too scared that, if I told you I was bi, you’d… I dunno, get creeped out or something…”
“I could NEVER be creeped out by YOU!” Gunther said, a little too forcefully.
Percy chuckled. “And yet you think I’d be creeped out by you wanting to be a girl…?”
Gunther hugged her arms to her chest. Her breasts pressed against them like pillows. It felt… right.
“What gave me away…?”
Percy raised an eyebrow. “I mean, aside from that whole HOUSEWIFE spiel just now… you’ve been… off… ever since we fell through my grandpa’s antique mirror and wound up here… Like, I was so excited to be an adventurer and you were just… disappointed somehow…”
Gunther remembered those first few days, struggling to survive in a land of monsters and magic. Percy thrived at the challenge of it, kept them both safe as they worked their way up the adventurers’ guild and could finally afford their own house. But Percy was right… she WAS disappointed…
“To be honest… when I always imagined getting isekai-ed and everything… part of me had always hoped it would be as… someone else…” she gestured meekly to herself.
“So that’s why you always insisted on going to the potions shop alone, isn’t it?” Gunther realized.
“Yeah… I said I wanted to save you the hassle, but really… I was looking for a potion like the one I drank just now… but I just… couldn’t find the courage to ask anyone outright, I was always too vague. And, this morning, that man in armor or whatever… I think he overheard me and gave me exactly what I’d always wanted. I mean, in the dungeon, when that boulder almost flattened us, I genuinely hoped for your sake it really was a strength potion, but… I guess that was just the adrenaline when I saved you. Didn’t even notice the changes all that much until we got back here and my armor felt so… well, tight…”
Percy nodded, his face kind and understanding. “And… the whole housewife… thing…? Where’d that come from…?”
Gunther sighed and slumped against the stone wall of the dungeon. “Truth be told… I don’t really like adventuring? Like, I like being with YOU, and it was our only REAL option at the beginning, but… I’m not really cut out for this line of work…” She rubbed a thumb against her scar, an injury she’d received from a goblin in their very first dungeon run. “The only reason I kept following you out here after we’d earned enough gold to live off of, was because… well, first off, because I didn’t want anything to HAPPEN to you… but, more selfishly, with all the cursed dungeons we explore, I was hoping something like THIS would happen, and not only would I have the body I wanted, I’d have the perfect excuse to just… stay at home, where it’s safe.”
Percy nodded again. “But you don’t need an EXCUSE to want those things. You never did....”
Shame welled up in Gunther’s throat, and tears tickled her cheeks.
“You… probably think I’m a coward now, huh?” she tried not to sniffle, she didn’t want to look even more pathetic.
Percy firmly shook his head and pulled Gunther close. “You’re NOT a COWARD for wanting to live a quiet life. You’ve saved my ass more times than I can count. And others. When the going gets tough, you always do the right thing, even if it’s scary, even when it’s hard. That’s not cowardice. It’s definitely the other thing.”
Gunther’s breath hitched as she pressed her burning forehead to the nice, cool steel of Percy’s chestplate. Her voice was barely above a whisper.
“Th…Thank you, Percy…”
‘Anytime Gu- uhm… is Gunther still okay, or is there another name you’d prefer…?”
She didn’t need to think on it for too long.
“...Gwendolyn. You can call me Gwen… if you want.”
Percy chuckled again. “Can I call you ‘cute’ too? Because… you really are, you know…?”
Gwen buried her face even deeper into Percy’s chest.
“Thank you… sniff okay…” She looked up at her new lover with pleading puppy dog eyes, “...okay, but can I still roleplay as your housewife, please?”
Percy let out a full bellied laugh and planted a kiss on her forehead. “Of course, “honey”. Let’s just get you some new clothes first, okay? You’re having a bit of a wardrobe malfunction right now…”
Gwen raised an eyebrow, then looked down in horror to see her EVERYTHING was showing.
“EEEK!!!” She struggled to cover herself, but there was too much “HER” to fully cover. Percy unclasped the fur cloak that rested over his shoulders and wrapped it like a blanket around his blushing beauty.
“So, how are you liking the new dress, darling~?”
Gwen blushed again, letting her free hand rest on the fine fabric of her skirt as she put the finishing touches on dinner. She stirred fresh sausages, shallots, and potatoes in the sizzling pan over the fireplace, drizzling the tantalizing mixture in mustard vinaigrette. The smell that filled the house was mouth watering.
“To be honest, it’s… gonna take some getting used to. I’ve never had so much, uh, freedom down there before. But like, getting used to it in a GOOD way. Just like, you calling me d-d-darling is gonna take some getting used to…” she confessed as she spooned the food into two wooden bowls. “Dinner’s ready!”
Percy gratefully received his portion and took a bite. “MMmmmnnn…” he moaned in ecstasy as soon as the juicy sausages and crisp vegetables doused in sweet and savory sauce touched his tongue. “Holy fuck, that’s good… maybe you really DO belong in the kitchen.”
“Ha HA very funny, Perce,” she playfully bonked her boyfriend on the head, “I was taking care of the cooking well BEFORE I was a girl, fuck you very much.”
“I know, but I also know how playing to stereotypes can be… what’s the word… affirming for you.”
Gwen smiled bashfully as she finally enjoyed the fruits of her labor. “I mean… you’re not wrong… I feel a little guilty about it, but… something about the whole ‘tradwife’ thing always seemed cozy and… kind of sexy to me… Plus, I always admired how my mom took care of me growing up…”
“Yeah, your mom IS a bit of a milf, too, now that you mention it…”
Percy quickly received another spoon to the skull.
“Haha, okay, I deserved that one…” he admitted, “...so I was thinking, I could start finding a way for us to get home, if you wanted.”
Gwen stopped eating. “I mean… I do miss my mom and everything, but… what if we can’t come back? And what if going back turns me back into… you know… Plus, it’s not like we had much going on for us back there, either…”
Percy put his hand on Gwen’s comfortingly. “I won’t let anything bad happen to you, Gwen. I can go it alone or send a messenger or something. Honestly, I just want to let them know we’re okay and invite them to the wedding.
Gwen’s brain short circuited.
“W-wait, what do you mean ‘wedding?’”
Percy snickered. “Did you seriously forget the whole ‘WIFE’ part of being a ‘housewife’? Of fucking course I’m gonna marry you. But we can go as fast or as slow as you want. That is, if you still want to…?”
Gwen bit her lip, closed her eyes, and nodded. “I want to. More than anything.”
“Great! Now that that’s all settled, lemme help you with the dishes. This world might not have dishwashers but thank fuck it’s got basic plumbing…”
“...sooooo… I’ll be totally honest… I didn’t think this part through…” Gwen admitted, demurely.
Gwen and Percy awkwardly stared at the one bed they used to share as guys. Before, it was just out of necessity. But now, well… things were undeniably different.
“Well, we don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. And if you’re uncomfortable sharing a bed so soon, I can always sleep on the floor…” Percy said, always a man of practicality.
Gwen took a deep breath and steeled herself. “N-No I… I want to sleep together… a-and I’d like to do… o-other things together too, if you want… I might’ve been uhm… s-super horney since we left the dungeon…”
Percy grinned, and in one fell swoop, Gwendolyn was in his arms, and on the bed. They took turns taking each other’s clothes off, like they were secretly unwrapping their presents a few days before Christmas. And then, it was just them, and nothing in between.
“S-So…” Gwen slapped her hands against her thickly pressed thighs in anticipation, “...this is me now… what do you think…?”
Percy crawled closer to her, and ever so gently took her face in his hand. She let her cheek sink into his calloused but strong palm.
“I think you look absolutely beautiful, Gwendolyn.”
It was almost enough for her to finish right then and there. Being beautiful, being called beautiful by a handsome man… That squirmy feeling in her stomach went into overdrive. Her heart raced, and something felt wet between her legs. So, she leaned back, and spread them nice and wide, inviting Percy inside.

A few beads of sweat ran down Percy’s forehead. “I-I mean, I know you wanted kids EVENTUALLY but…”
“Y-Yeah, p-probably not THAT soon, but eventually, if you’re willing…”
“Oh y-yeah, totally! A-And it was just the one time, right?”
“Oh yeah, m-my mom had to try, like, SO many times with my dad just to have me. I think the first few time’s are like a freebie…”
“Exactly! I’ll take responsibility of course, but… it’s fine!”

“Mommy! Is Daddy home yet?!”
Gwendolyn sighed as the twins ran into the kitchen, nearly knocking over the cauldron of soup she was preparing.
“Winry, Evalin, what did I tell you two about running in the kitchen while Mommy is cooking…?” she said as sternly as she could manage. Discipline was the hardest part of being a mother, in her opinion. She couldn’t bring herself to yell at the adorable little shits.
Still, it did the trick. “Sorry, Mommy!” the two said sadly, staring shamefully at their shoes. She just couldn’t help herself. She lovingly tousled their hair. “Ohhh, it’s okay, my little trolls. Mommy’s not mad, she just doesn’t want you to end up as part of tonight’s soup.” She made slurping sounds as if to eat the two for dinner, and they giggled. “Daddy’s just visiting Grandma and Grandpa real quick, he’ll be back soon.”

“Ooof…” Gwendolyn put a hand to her swollen, round stomach. The other two didn’t kick nearly as much. This one’s definitely gonna be a boy, then. And that’s a whole new handful in and of itself. You did a really really good job on that Mira!!!! All the scale mail must’ve been an absolute bitch but it came out absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!! On top of that I always love how unique the pre-transformed reflections are, but I think this takes the cake. It’s just a typical reflection, but that helmet discoloration absolutely adds so much to it!!! It looks absolutely amazin Mira!!!
