Control - PS5/Pro/Series X Update 1.30 - PSSR Upscaling and RT at 60FPS Tested on PS5 Pro!
🕑 Added 2025-10-16 18:42:02 +0000 UTCA brand new patch 1.30 lands on all current-gen consoles, with PS5 Pro in particular reaping the spoils with a new PSSR toggle, and also increased 60fps performance while using its ray tracing 'graphics' mode. The advantages speak for themselves, as Tom covers here, but there are a few limitations to consider also.

Didn't dig the core gameplay of this all that much on release. Definitely has a couple of cool moments (e.g., the Ashtray Maze) but I'm kinda bewildered that it's still getting #content six years later.

FYI, Control's motion blur causes white flickering artifacts on certain edges (e.g. on directional sign posts) during vertical camera movement (at least on PS5 Pro), and motion blur reverts to enabled every time you close the game or switch between Performance and Quality modes, even though the menu UI still shows it disabled. Toggle the motion blur option on and off to actually disable it again. Brightness options also revert to defaults on game closing. Remedy should fix these bugs. I'm surprised DF didn't catch or mention them.
