Got something for you. I just did a live fire test on a Level 3 Ballistic Steel chest plate. 200+ rounds of Pistol and Rifle at various ranges. 3 full magazines from an AKM at less than 3 meters. No penetration. No spalling. Mostly, it got hot and had about 6mm of deformation. Thought you might like it.
