I understand it, Liv had a severe lack of friends, every person she met in her childhood treated her poorly in some way or had some ulterior motive for why she was being shown kindness. Of course she is going to find it hard to abandon them when they are begging to go with her, and she still has yet to see herself as truly being something special and powerful, she doesn’t think that she can handle every situation and in most cases she would be right, I think the issue is she is bringing along people she can trust who are weak, and not with people who are archmages or strong magically. I’m actually very happy with this chapter because I think whatever is to come is going to change things for Liv to the greatest extent, so far nothing Liv has is capable of fighting a vaedim head on and I think this is going to be a massive power up potentially even to her biology. She is going up against a vaedim with blood relation when we know that vaedim magic can leave a lasting impact, just like her bones were affected by the other vaedim imagine what is going to happen to her body after this, but instead of just combating it, it could be a real benefit since Ice is her element.

So far it has been the case that she has generally been more slowed than aided by the others but she had no idea that would be the case. If there had been standard fighting like the bear it would be better to have them. Besides I have a suspicion Keri is going to convince her to take him along. I have a feeling whatever happens at Celris' body Keri's Magic/presence is going to be crucial.

Finally, she should have done that in the first place. Her team has done nothing yet that helped her. I don't understand her selfish tendency to bring others to harm.
