More Taco Bell Musings

The crunchwrap supreme from Taco Bell has so much potential, and yet I can't bring myself to enjoy it much. I order it every once it a while hoping I change my mind, or that they improve on it. But it never wins me over. It's so accessible as a fast food concept, easily marketable (they know their demographic), and yet...every time I eat it, I keep wanting to make my own version. Which completely defeats the purpose! They need to double the amount of meat they stuff in there, as my main complaint. I know it's cheaper to skimp but, this would solve the majority of my problems. With twice the meat, it might make up for the mouthful of nothing but folded tortilla you get right in the middle. Normally I wouldn't mind if the tortillas were homeade or something but...it's taco bell lol. Not the point. I omit the nacho cheese. Sacriledge, I know. But I can only go so far before crossing the line lol.

I am Mexican dude. I live in Texas. Arizona don't compare. Taco Bell is a guilty pleasure, and you guys are acting like I am taking it seriously as real Mexican food lol.

I can’t do Taco Bell any more. I’m in Phoenix/Scottsdale, and there is real Mexican food everywhere I turn. Back in the day TB was my late night drunk food.

Was never a Crunchwrap Stan. I always felt the tomato and particularly the lettuce watered down the flavor. Lettuce has no flavor if you don’t give it some. Nowadays, I try whatever new shit they’re rolling out. If I don’t like that, I go with a quesadilla and always throw in some spicy potato tacos. Either way, I’ll never forgive them for getting rid of my beloved steak quesarito. Fucking monsters.
