Would you pay for pixeldrain if it was more expensive?

Instead of charging more you should add a tip mechanism

KrinoDaGamer

I'll pay 8 a month the service is phenomenal

Damon Lovell

You, sir, are a legend

Fornax

It's done. I was not sure where to put the setting, so I put it here: https://pixeldrain.com/user/sharing/bandwidth

JD

Definitely, I've been very happy with your service and support, thus far. :)

Damon Lovell

That would be awesome, i use Internet Download Manager so grabbing a link or multiple links without the button press would be great

Fornax

That should be pretty easy to add. I'm putting it on my to-do list.

Ashan Parmar

I support you primarily out of principle over actually actively using the service, tbh.:P

I honestly am likely not going to be using it much longer because the place I was using it all the time to download uploaded files from others unfortunately is going the way of greed and isn't uploading to pixeldrain anymore and the only options are direct pay, torrents, and zippyshare which itself is a frustrating mess to make people want to pay. They used to upload everything to pixeldrain. Sorry for the tangent, but that is to say there's nothing wrong with your service and I've been happy while I've used it. The pricing is fair for a service of this kind. I also pay for mega and the pricing is comparable so I think you're okay to adjust as needed.

Damon Lovell

I would pay more if it had direct download instead of having to press the download button every time. But compared to ever increasing prices of uptobox and others pixeldrain is still very cheap

Hugo Hernandez

I don't use it enough to want to pay more.

I never hit the free bandwidth limit, but I'm happy to tip for a good service. That said, I would have thought twice at EUR 4.

The product is excellent. Price it fairly so you can continue improving it. I see nothing wrong with pricing it in a sustainable way.

Fornax

Thanks for letting me know. Lucky for you I will not be increasing the pricing for existing patrons. Good luck with your study :-)

John Maltez

That works for me!

In these uncertain economic times for, it seems, the vast majority of us at least, surely your only course of action is to try it out for a month or so and see in truth what priority your service holds within your prospective customers' plans regarding spending of disposable income, if indeed, as Raiden9286 indicates, they even (expect to) have any. I realise that relatively speaking we are talking "pennies" here, but we are given to believe (here in the UK at least) that it's the pennies that the majority of people will be counting going into the winter months. My comments will probably not, of course, necessarily be as definitive or imperative across the whole wide world. Only you can know that from your own demographic records.

Businesses usually increase prices when user growth plateaus or even decline. As the act of rising prices itself will drive out small percentage of users, and affects new user growth (less new signups per month). But it can be offset by the overall revenue increase, at the expense of slowed growth. So unless you are seeing growth decline or unsustainable income/expenses ratio, I would be careful with price increase decision.

As a student, I sadly can't afford more than €2 monthly. I would pay more if I had a steady source of income, and if the download speed would be guaranteed! :)
