There's still so many different directions Hull could grow, but this is a very good starting point for him. Intervene is a great mechanic for him to get, and he finally has something he can rely on without needing specific cards.

RainbowPhaze

People get their souls from personal development and achievement, cultivating Themself instead of a source. She could have earned it

Myrdin

Bryll is a rare. She may very well be Hull’s half sister. How else would a slum rat have such a soul if not from parents. I wonder what is going to happen when Hull gets back his original card. I bet it is epic. Maybe the 2 will merge somehow?

Unstable Rift is such a great card, it's instant death on anyone with an empty Mind Home. Hull really needs to get another copy or upgrade his blockers, they're the most universally useful card. Three upgraded Ravening Hatchlings basically form a rock-solid wall of renewable defense.

Kris Boxall

Great chapter loved it!

Evin

The border is bronze, that's common

Knyko

Finallyy, but is it common or rare?

Hailhound

This battle really shows the importance of planning and coordination. That fire elemental would have been amazing if it was out from the beginning. But it’s big and obvious and would have burned down the town if it had just been sitting around. And then once the battle had started he waited until it would have maximum shock and awe, rather than summoning it immediately and messing them up

Sharrif

Intervene basically means that the attack goes to you instead of the original target. But it applies to Hunted Souls (like by the Human Assassin that Basil has), and perhaps attacks against other Summoners. It should also power up his Talisman of Spite.

Death56

If intervene means he takes damage instead of others can he use it on his demons and then use the damage to power his talisman

Death56

I belive a sourceror fight only using source explosions/abilities and no cards

Sharrif

For those who need a reminder (and totally not Hailhound 😉), a Sourceror is someone who just uses their Source. Basically, they only use their Sources’ Abilities as Spells instead of having/using Summons (like how Naydarin used his Fire Source to blast fire bolts).

Sharrif

Yeah... it honestly was the perfect ambush. The Greater Fire Elemental was such a strong counter against the Demon Marauders *and* the Night Terror. If it had been just against Hull... yeah, he'd be dead for sure. It's doubtful that he'd have had the momentum to really fight back if Basil's Master Shieldbearer hadn't taken the hit. Not to mention all of the OTHER Souls that would have otherwise swarmed him had Basil not been a secondary target...

iridium248

Hull was really lucky the idiots couldn't hold their powder. If they had, he would have been in serious trouble.

Hailhound

Just noticed he’s carrying his hammer in his picture. That card is so perfect

Hailhound

Yay Hull! Remaking that soul card! On another note: someone should put here in the comments what a Sourceror is. I definitely know and didn’t forget, I just think it’d be useful to have for those who did xd

Sharrif

WHAT AN ENDING. OH MY GOD. Such a perfect card, too. I also love that Hull is empowering the vulnerable - the urchins like him.
