Behind the Scenes - Luca Chapter Update
🕑 Added 2025-01-06 09:40:17 +0000 UTCHey all, hope you're all having a great new year. As part of the massive Ren'Py retrofit, we're looking to fix up some of the old animations that were not using some of our more recent techniques.
The biggest of these is in Luca's chapter, where I've never been completely happy with the lighting. This is the first of the remake versions I've done to give an example of the changes.
I should note given how big Luca's chapter is, this may have to be postponed to the next update if we run out of time (getting a stable build of all 6 chapters is our number one priority).

I like how clean it looks. Not just for Luca's animation, but for the background as well. I prefer clean renders over blurry ones because it would be easier to appreciate the attention to detail.

That was a big part of it - the original was just a HDR dome, but this time I wanted to put actual content behind the windows to soften the lights. I think it worked out pretty well.
