I see, my line of thinking was perhaps he wanted to be stronger for the very likely fight bot side but I hadn’t thought of that If you’re not back on spawn for raptors aren’t you risking that the enemy jg will take them? Agurin preaches never starting raptors unless (this is my own thinking) perhaps let’s say you have mid prio to defend and/or map is dead in terms of matchups, or you’re playing fast farming jg like shyvana he only really starts raptors on, since his counterplay is to always skip scuttle and base for item adv to fight for lv2 raptors

Junglers usually do it to potentionally invade 2nd raptor spawn of enemy and just be slightly stronger, don't have to be exactly back on spawn just because you start raptor

why do you think he 3 camps vertically from raptors to get long sword and reset rather than typical top to bot? also why raptors start? i know it's ideal for champs like lee sin taliyah belveth for ex. but im not a fan of it if i dont know i can be back on spawn bc im making a play
