this is the third and last drawing for a series of illustrations i was commissioned to create for a book. the book is called the otherworlders, on wattpad.
i’ve been working on this for like a few months now 😅 the commissioner takes a while to give feedback 🤔 but that’s totally okay, i really don’t mind when commissioners take their time to get back to me (esp. bc sometimes i can also take a while to respond/send updates)
here’s a few coloring tips that are very easy to implement and will improve your results:
(based on my style, on what i like, not a
universal
rule)
- the border of a shadow is more saturated than the shadow itself.
- for the hair, avoid doing several small strokes when painting, focus on bigger shapes (design theory).
- the end of the fingers, the knuckles, the nose, the cheeks, the chin, and the bottom of the neck are, usually, a little more reddish.
