Update: Added "Enable smooth transitions for newly created blocks" option to the project settings panel.
Update: The block creation buttons that previously appeared on the borders of a brushed block area have now been moved to under the search box.
Update: Added new block creation search terms to QuickFind: "macro", "manipulator", "meta", "receive", "send", "start", "tempo".
Update: "View" settings page was renamed to "UI".
Update: "Default to fractional tempo guides" option added to UI settings.
Update: It should no longer be possible to accidentally close the quickfind widget by clicking in the gaps in between the buttons.
Update: Added an indicator lamp for MIDI input events.
Update: Added back the file browser context menu which was removed many builds ago.
Update: Improved the "block focus" behavior so that the block no longer zooms or pans off the screen.
Update: Useless "Raw" button from the default Godot color picker widget is now hidden.
Update: Improved across-the-board c++ exception handling (bugs will manifest more often now as error messages instead of outright crashes.)
Bugfix: Crash when a meta block or tempo guide is right-clicked.

If you are trying to open a *.blkhd file then make sure you open blockhead first and open it using the ctrl+O dialog, or drag it into the blockhead window. Associating blkhd files with blockhead or doing some equivalent of "open with" through your operating system won't work yet (but it will work in the next build)

Hi, I can't seem to save or export what I make in blockhead. A file appears when I try to save, but if I open the file in blockhead I only get an empty project. No files appear at all if I try to export. Any idea on how I could fix this?

Apparently deleting the 'scuff-scan' executable from the blockhead folder will fix this issue but I've yet to understand why this only happens on some people's systems and not others

Running on Linux Mint 22.1. I have the "terminate called after throwing an instance of 'boost::process::v1::process_error'" issue. I see it is known about, thought I would report it anyway.

There's no way to recover it yet but I am actually rewriting the input system at the moment and one of the things I want to do is optionally save any input buffers to the project file so if that's not in the next build then it will probably be added soon after. Also it will be possible to jump back to previously loaded projects and grab stuff with the new history system as long as the application isn't shut down as everything will stay in memory by default

Hi, brilliant piece of software. I was unaware early on that Ctrl+N was removing the Loopback from the input. Is there a way to bring it back for those project files? I seem to only be able to add mic inputs using the "+" icon. I suppose I can just export the blocks and put them into a project that still has Loopback set up. Sorry, I know that Discord is the desired communication platform, but I no longer have it. And I tried to find information in the manual first. Thank you!

Not at the moment. Apple like to make it very annoying and difficult for developers to produce backwards compatible binaries and I assume it's a slightly underhanded way to push their users to upgrade their OS.

I don't seem to be able to add anything other than a sample. When I right click, the option for meta block doesn't or anything other than sample show. I have also tried adding on in using the Enter key search but nothing gets added. Just tried the previous version and it works?

Hello you can right-click on the snap button on the sidebar to open the context menu and deselect "Soft Snapping" and i think that will give the behavior you want

Hey, i love the daw man great work! a small feature request if i may: I would love an option to have the snapping amount as a toggle. I mostly use either full snapping or no snapping and i tend to switch it pretty often and dragging up and down on a mouse pad gets tedious lol

I have no idea but it sounds like maybe your audio device doesn't work at all. can you confirm that other audio editing programs work fine? If blockhead generates a crash dump then you could email it to me at colugomusic@gmail.com and maybe it give me more information

Hi, I just installed v44.1 it does nothing except showing 100% CPU, while Task Manager shows 0%, and full level on the meters. Not even F1 works. When clicking on "input" it crashes. Any idea? Hello I have never seen this error before so I'm not sure. Does it happen at startup or at some point while Blockhead is already running? One thing you could try is deleting the file 'dbghelp.dll' from the Blockhead folder.
