As a side note, if you wanted to combine the Two; the wolf could have far more ice accents on the tail than anywhere else. It would be a differentiator to the common ice on the back look

I would print in clear or translucent blue and then paint all the rest.

I agree with others - if you could make the spikes separate pieces so I could print them separately out out of clear while printing the rest of him out of grey - that would be awesome looking. Also - ice spikes could be scaled up to make a dire ice wolf....which would be BA.

While I love the idea of a crystal wolf, wolf with ice spikes seems more fun to paint. I'm not a huge painter and I don't know how you would pick out detail and make a translucent model look awesome.

Wolf with ice spikes, and a version with the spikes seperate so they can be printed clear and glued into sockets on the wolf body would be awesome!

I do like the wolf of ice, but the other is epic.

Im sure it would be extra work, but having one variation of each of the spike designs would be so cool. I love the look of the huge spikes on the back though.
