hello sir, I am trying to restore a philco 42-380 receiver and found an unfamiliar component listed as #60 bias resistor on the parts list. It appears to be a multi-tapped wire wound resistor riveted to the chassis. It is marked as 146 ohm, 31 ohm and 15 ohm. the last tap is burned and open. I need to calculate the wattage needed for replacement resistors, so I need to find the current passing through this assembly. Unfortunately philco did'nt seem to believe in putting voltages or tube pin outs on their schematics. -If I can't calculate the proper wattage requirements, would it be good to wire in some large power resistors as replacements I'm wondering if the burned out section of the original component was acting as a pseudo fuse to protect the power transformer or other expensive part or maybe I'm just over thinking the whole thing. When I was small, I believed that you could get old radio programs from an old radio- that is, you could tune into 1950 or so. Maybe deep down some part of me still believes that. That might explain my interest in restoring old electronics. It must take a lot of time and energy to produce your videos they are greatly appreciated. thank you.
