Loved your dissection of the story line. But I question calling the auto-pilot "evil" It was a computer system just carrying out its programming, not a sentient being.

If you like this movie, you should see the 1986(non-animated) movie Short Circuit. Wall-E *ahem* 'borrows' many things from Short Circuit. Don't get me wrong, Wall-E is still very much a unique story. Short Circuit is a similar live action version.
