Delayed response again, I watched this right after I commented on you Hamilton reaction. I first saw this film WITH my older sister, when we both felt like we were too old for Disney (even though neither of us actually were too old because you're never too old). We agreed to watch it together so that neither of us would feel lame and even though we grew up in a great family and both of our parents are STILL around even almost 20 years after this movie came out, Lilo and Nani's relationship made us both teary right there in the theatre. It still makes me cry every time I watch it.

Lilo ran home without permission when her sister was coming to pick her up, locked her out of the house, then INTENTIONALLY made her look bad in front of a social worker, and you think her first response should be to ask Lilo about her day? I'd be pretty pissed too. I'm not saying it's right to snap at kids like that, but Nani's outburst was completely understandable.
