I get the feeling most of us just don't think about these transitions while we experience them. It takes movies like these to invite reflection. Thanks for reflecting for us, mate. Btw, despite views to the contrary, I didn't mind #4. The nostalgia it brought was enough (considering the time span between #3 and 4).

By the way the garbage cleaner who was banging the bins and had a skull tea shirt in this, that's Sid. Sid is all grown up in this film and he takes out the bins, did nothing else with his life. XD

There are easter eggs all over anything Pixar. Rapunzel's at Elsa's coronation. (whole entire theory about that) Sully from Monsters inc. is in the woodcarver's cabin in Brave, etc.

when watching monster inc you can spot buzz and jessieif you haven't watched yet its a fun Easter egg to look for. Pixar fans made that a fun game to spot in Pixar movies

Andy handing over Woody hit grownup Pixar audiences in the sweet spot. 😭 Unfortunately, Disney marketing insisted on a Toy Story 4 for the anniversary, and what happens in that one ruins everything--It just shouldn't have been made. Don't feel you "have" to watch that one, as other Toy Story fans have since been quick to disown it.
