I'm gonna give my own 2 cents here...Sorry Dillan but I absolutely disagree with you. I have experienced something similar... I was in love with this girl for 7 years, and heck I knew that It would have probably never worked out between us, so my best friend asked me if he can ask her out...Knowing that I got nowhere with her for 7 years, I let him give it a shot, that doesn't mean I wasn't sad about it, and he wasn't even in love with her like Chandler, he just wanted to try it. Point is, communication is key it doesn't matter who met her first or who is dating her if you communicate like freaking adults and talk about it. I've also seen friendships destroyed over a girl, but all of the cases were because someone made a move on a girl without talking with the friend, and that is a horrible dick move. But Chandler really didn't do anything here and his feelings aren't superficial

I'm with Tanya on this one. Sometimes you cannot help who you love. Chandler doesn't act on it. And it's really sad when you try to date someone for fun and find out you'd be way more compatible with their friend, considering you wouldn't meet that friend on your own.

I think you forget that Joey doesn’t do serious relationships. He jumps from girl to girl with no feelings or attachments. Chandler has genuine feelings which can’t be helped

I feel bad for Chandler because he's in love with Kathy. He's not just attracted to her. You can't control who you fall in love with. And then he has her and Joey doin' it, loudly, in the next room.
